Fort
Street Presbyterian Church
is an oasis in an urban environment, building a caring Christian
community where diversity is celebrated and programs are developed
that minister to Metropolitan Detroit and the world beyond.

do this in response to the Grace of God through Jesus Christ,
recognizing the truth of the Gospel: There is no longer Jew or
Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male

The Reverend Dr. Sharon L.
Mook was introduced to the congregation
of Fort Street Presbyterian Church during a reception in
her honor on Saturday, June 27, 2009, from 2:00 to 5:00
p.m., and, on Sunday, June 28, she preached to a large and
appreciative audience at the 11:00 a.m. worship service.
Following worship, members of the church voted enthusiastically
to call Dr. Mook to serve as their pastor and Dr. Mook graciously
