Fort Street Presbyterian Church
is an oasis in an urban environment,
building a caring Christian community
where diversity is celebrated and programs
are developed that minister to Metropolitan
Detroit and the world beyond.

We do this in response to the Grace of God
through Jesus Christ, recognizing the truth of the Gospel: There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male or female; for, all of us are one in Jesus Christ.

The Reverend Dr. Sharon L. Mook
Pastor

The Reverend Dr. Robert H. Crilley
Pastor Emeritus

Fort Street Director of Christian Education, Judith Sheldon,
Cited in PCUSA Pentecost Offering Flyer

“'War and violence are so prominent . . . when you ask people what war is, they can answer easily — but when you ask people what peace is, often they are at a loss,' says Judith Sheldon, creator of the Peace Camp for children at Fort Street Presbyterian Church in Detroit, Michigan."

"Judith is helping to solve this problem thanks to funding from the Pentecost Offering, made possible by generous people like you. We know more children — and communities — could benefit from programs such as Peace Camp, but we need your support of the Pentecost Offering to help."

"While gifts to the Pentecost Offering support programs like Peace Camp, 40 percent of the total raised by your congregation is kept within your own community. Your congregation can create and fund programs to help the children and youth right in your own backyard. When you make your online donation, identify your congregation and we will send 40 percent of your gift back to your congregation."

Attention
Fort Streeters!

Did you, your children, or family members have a summer camp experience sponsored by Fort Street or the Presbytery? Do you have photos you are willing to share?

CPR (The Communications and Public Relations Committee) is planning the next exhibit in the Great Hall's display case and the theme of the exhibit will be Fort Street Summer Campers and Camping. Any photographs you loan can be scanned if you prefer to keep the originals, or we will be happy to display your original photos.

We would like to install the new display in June. Any photos loaned will be returned in September and will only be used for exhibit in the Great Hall. Please contact one of the following persons if you have any questions or contributions:
