Ada Earle
Receptionist

Ada Bell Earle was born and reared in St. Louis, Missouri. Following her graduation from high school there, she completed two years of college (history) in New York City. Her late husband, whom she married in Tennessee, was a cook on the Missouri Pacific Railroad. Ada, who was introduced to Fort Street Presbyterian Church (FSPC) by Ella Minter, worked in the clothing room of the Open Door Program for her first five years at FSPC. She is 82 years old and has been working at the Church for 27 years, beginning upon her arrival in Detroit, and she has been a member of FSPC for 26 years. She currently works at the Church on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Previously, she had been employed by the St. Paul Hospital in St. Louis. Ada has no surviving family. She indicates that Iola Jackson, another long-time member of FSPC and friend, is her beneficiary.
