Marilyn
Denise Moore was
employed by Fort Street Presbyterian Church in October 1980.
She attended Wayne County Community College (1979-1981) and
received the associate's degree in child care in 1981. In 1983,
she earned the BS degree in early childhood education from Madonna
University. Marilyn worked as a nanny for a family for 19 years
and the two boys whom she nurtured are 26 and 21 years old.
More recently, she has worked for six years as a nanny for children
of a local judge. Also, she has been one of the cooks in the
FSPC Open Door Program for some 15 years, which she enjoys very
much. She notes that "They are a wonderful group to work
with."

Karen
Wright
has been at Fort Street Church for almost 28 years. She was brought
to the Church by Marilyn Moore a fellow alumna of Wayne County
Community College. Karen, now, is employed by the Detroit Public
School System as a special educational aide to a wonderful autistic
student, for whom she has provided support for four years. Karen's
son, who has grown up in Fort Street Church, was the last person
to be baptized by Dr. Robert Crilley, FSPC Pastor Emeritus, and
is now 15 years old. He is in high school and an honor roll student.
Karen also has worked in the FSPC nursery for the past 28 years
and prefers working with babies.
