You may bring items, labeled with your name and beginning bid, to the Art Room in the Donlin Center now. The newly formed Youth Group will implement the Art Auction with music, food and fun. We can also use newspaper for packing and bags for carrying items home. Interesting things are arriving for both the silent and live auctions. People are thinking creatively – leather coats and wall-size painting! Experiences, services, and home made desserts, relishes and jams are always popular. Have fun and help the Campership Fund.
Upcoming Events: “Hearing God’s Call for You” Youth Retreat with Dana Hansen Cooper will be Friday, April 4 from 6:00 until Saturday, April 5 and 4:00 p.m. Mrs. Cooper will also teach Sunday School the following morning in the Donlin Center. Peace for the People We are starting a world map project entitled Peace for the People. We would like photographic images of people of all ages and cultures to be placed around our map. Would you please GIVE us any color or black and white images from magazines, newsletters, etc. that you would like to share? Bring them to the Donlin Center, and if we are there, we will put them up while you are visiting. If we are not there, please use the stickpins and add your image wherever you would like it on the map project. We hope to have photos of people from around the world. |

The theme of this year’s Sunday School classes for Grades 1-8 will be “Children in the Bible” Each week Beth Brown leads all the children in Opening worship from 9:30 to 9:45 a.m. Kids are divided into groups of grades 1-4, 5&6, and 7&8 and over three weeks will rotate through different classes. After the “Children’s Message” during worship, kids in grades 1-5 have the option of a program in the Donlin Christian Education Center. On one Sunday of the month, Nancy Combs will lead the children in singing from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. They will perform the “Introit” in worship on that day. So it’s very important that kids get to church by 9:30 every Sunday. Upcoming Sunday School Classes, 9:45-10:45 a.m. On March 23, we will celebrate that Christ is Risen! with an egg hunt, attending Easter Service and our Fort Street Release of Balloons, some of which will contain our handwritten prayers. In April we will study the Commandment to Honor Your Mother and Your Father. We will hear stories of children – of all ages – who honor their parents, and write some of our own. We will also draw and color our parents and include them in our new gallery space in the Donlin Center. One Great Hour of Sharing Please pick up a Fish Bank for your contributions throughout Lent, at the table near the door during Coffee Hour. Art Auction Scheduled for April 13, 2008 Please support our Campership Fund by giving art, antiques and ambiguities to the Great Art Auction. You may bring items, labeled with your name and beginning bid, to the Donlin Center now. Children’s Fellowship will continue with Gospel of the Drum in the Chapel: Remembering, Reading and Rhythm with Baba Issa. Marilyn Moore and Karen Wright continue to provide nursery care from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Beth Brown teaches a preschool-kindergarten Sunday School class.
